Coordinator/Head of Agency, Status of Women Canada
Ms. Suzanne Clément is the Coordinator/Head of Agency for Status of Women Canada. Most recently, she held the position of Executive Director of the Portfolio Affairs Office at the Department of Canadian Heritage.
Prior to that, Ms. Clément held numerous positions in the federal public service, including Corporate Secretary and Director-General of Citizen Participation at the Department of Canadian Heritage, and Director of Public Affairs at the Senate of Canada. Ms. Clément also held a number of Director-General positions, including at the Millennium Bureau of Canada, for the Youth Employment Strategy and in Communications at the Department of Human Resources Development Canada. In the early 1990s, Ms. Clément was Secretary of the National Transportation Agency of Canada.
Ms. Clément is a strong supporter of community involvement. She is currently a member of the Quality Assurance Committee of the Board for the Montfort Hospital.
Ms. Clément holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Ottawa.
