During this three-year initiative of the Alberta Council of Women's Shelters will continue to work for: the implementation in Alberta of recommendations from the Premier’s Provincial Roundtable on Family Violence; the creation of a provincial death review board as a means to improve the legal and social services responses to women in high-risk situations; and funding parity for on-reserve shelters and services for Aboriginal women wanting to leave abusive relationships. |
