| Purpose: |
Over 18 months, 60 older women in East York will develop and implement a training curriculum and support network for older women to help them find solutions to the social and economic challenges they face throughout old age. The project will enhance the womens ability and confidence to respond to their age-specific challenges, such as safety concerns, reduced mobility, family pressure and isolation, while fostering their inclusion, well-being and participation in the community. The women will also develop evaluation tools to monitor and improve the training and network, and will share these tools with other older womens organizations across Ontario. One hundred aging women are expected to join the network yearly. |
