| Purpose: |
Young women who are HIV-infected need basic life skills and pre-employment skills in order to become economically self-sufficient. This project, the third phase of a preventative support and education program, aims to help young women acquire basic life skills to maintain a stable housing and employment environment which will, in turn, enable them to leave sex work and still have economic security. Development for young women will focus on pre-employment skills such as physical presentation, professional communication for the workplace, and adherence to schedules. Project activities will include peer mentorship, workshops, retreats, training sessions, and one-on-one support. |
