This 24-month project will engage participants in developing/adapting innovative strategies and supports to increase recruitment and retention of women in non-traditional and other sectors where they remain under-represented. It will also engage employers, training partners and other industry stakeholders in providing meaningful employment and training opportunities for women in these sectors.
The proposed project will target young dropouts, immigrant women needing to redirect their careers, women with disabilities and single mothers in the Montréal region. It will focus mainly on working with employers and the training community.
