| Purpose: |
This 36-month project will develop two community plans to address violence against Mikmaq women located in two rural regions of Nova Scotia. Mikmaq women will be strategically linked with service providers to collaborate on the development and implementation of the community plan. Work will be done with the women to help them identify the personal strengths that they can mobilize to create and implement the plans. The plans will be guided by a planning model developed by the Association called the Planning Alternative Tomorrow with Hope (PATH). PATH creates a shared vision for participants through the collaborative setting of short, medium, and long-term goals that are specific, measurable, and attainable. |
