Purpose:	This 36 month project will address the issue of violence against women and girls in Portage La Prairie, with a particular emphasis on sexual assault. Relevant experts and stakeholders, including women and men from the community, will be engaged to develop a community plan. The plan will be developed using a participatory approach to ensure the views and expertise of all key stakeholders are considered throughout the project. The project will operate under the direction of a steering committee comprised of various community and Aboriginal organizations, provincial, regional and educational stakeholders.
