Purpose:	This 36-month project will establish a community plan for improving the economic security of women in the Regional County Municipality (RCM) of Portneuf and vicinity. Supported by a number of the regions stakeholders a consultation process will be conducted with women and girls in the area to inform the development of a community plan to address the community’s specific needs and issues. In addition, a coalition of women’s organizations will be established as part of the project to encourage women to become more involved in their communities as leaders, as they are currently under represented in the MRC’s decision making bodies.
