Canadiana.org works to preserve Canada's documentary history and make it accessible online. Its collections include a variety of documents relevant to women’s history and includes features entitled “Discovering Early Canadian Women Writers” and “Early Women’s Magazines”.

Canadian Museum of History Online Exhibitions. This site provides a number of virtual exhibitions that touch on Canadian women’s history including “A History of the Vote in Canada”, “Symbol of a Profession: 100 years of Nurses’ Caps”, and “Citizens: Portraits of Canadian Women of African Descent”.

Famous Canadian Women Famous Firsts. This site provides biographical information about Canadian women pioneers in a wide range of fields.

Heroines.ca — A Guide to Women in Canadian History. This site provides resources for researching and celebrating Canadian women’s history, including biographies, pictures and educational tools.

Historica Canada (Heritage Minutes) This website includes, videos, information and a number of lesson plans relevant to Canadian women’s history.

Library and Archives Canada This site provides access to a variety of records (births, marriages, deaths, census information, photographs), as well as a number of research tools, including a digitized microform collection and several databases.

Ligne du temps de l’histoire des femmes au Québec This site provides an historical timeline highlighting women’s contributions to the evolution of Quebec society from 1600 to today. (Available in French only).

Parks Canada Directory of Federal Heritage Designations This directory lists historic sites of national significance and can be searched using keywords such as “women.”
