We are no longer accepting applications for the Women Living in Rural and Remote Communities and Small Urban Centres initiative. The deadline for applications was November 4, 2011.

Status of Women Canada launched the Women Living in Rural and Remote Communities and Small Urban Centres initiative to solicit funding applications for projects that promote equality, and support the advancement of women and girls living in rural and remote communities and small urban centres in two priority areas: economic security and prosperity; and ending violence against women and girls. The projects under this Call for Proposals fell into two thematic areas:
