Sex and Gender

We begin the course with the definitions of sex and gender because both are significant factors that can influence the outcomes of government initiatives (policies, programs, legislation and services) delivered to Canadians.

You will explore how sex and gender influence government initiatives and why they are important factors to consider in your work.

You will also learn what you can do in your work to mitigate the potential for federal initiatives to impact Canadian women and men in different (maybe unequal) ways.
