Gender-Based Analysis+ (GBA+) is a method for examining the intersection of sex and gender with other identity factors. Using GBA+ to explore the effects of federal initiatives on diverse groups of women and men will improve
decision-making processes and produce policies and programs that have a greater impact on more Canadians.

It is vital to use GBA+ to define an issue, to determine how and what kind of information is collected in the process, which policy and program options are developed to address the issue, what types of messages are communicated and how an initiative is monitored and evaluated.
