Integrating GBA+ into policy development recognizes that diverse groups of men and women may experience issues differently. Applying GBA+ enhances policy development by providing the necessary information and analysis to make the best decisions. Some considerations for policy development include:

In what ways have the experiences of diverse groups of men and women been considered in defining the issue?

Question 2

What groups of women and men might experience this issue differently?

Are distinct or various strategies needed to address the needs of the groups of women and men you've identified as potentially differently affected?

Question 3

What impact is the policy expected to make?

What policy options will provide the most positive impacts for diverse groups of women and men ?

If resources are limited, will the priority option benefit the group(s) of women or men at the greatest disadvantage?
