Program Design and Delivery

Programs typically have a specific objective, which means it is important that the delivery model corresponds with the intended outcome of the program. GBA+ can help identify important considerations for diverse groups of men and women, as well as the most effective program delivery mechanisms, by asking questions such as:

Question 1

Who is the target population (relevant groups of diverse women and men) for the program?

What are the characteristics of these groups?

Question 2

If the intended outcome of the program is to address the needs of a diverse population of women and men, are different program designs required to reach these groups?

Are the administrative processes for the program appropriate for the target audience?

Question 3

Do the data collection guidelines, forms and processes ensure that data collected can be disaggregated by sex and other diverse factors?

Is this information monitored to determine if the program has unintended impacts that will need to be remedied?
