What is the risk associated with this option?

It is very important to look at gender, including that men are more likely to die of heart disease, and that women may be under-diagnosed for heart disease.

It is very important to look at gender, but without looking at other cross-cutting factors, the approach may overlook particularly vulnerable groups of women and men.

Option 3 - Approach that addresses heart disease, taking into account gender and Aboriginal identity.

What is the risk associated with this option?

A GBA+ approach that recognizes gender and other factors, including Aboriginal identity, will enable government spending to be most targeted and effective.

This approach will only meet the needs of a few groups, and therefore be unsuccessful.
