Disclosure of Grant and Contribution Awards

Recipient Name: CANADIAN COALITION OF WOMEN IN SCIENCE, ENGINEERING, TRADES AND TECHNOLOGY
Location: Mississauga, Ontario
Date: 2007-03-30
Value: $292,450.00
Type: Grant
Purpose: Over 150 women working in Science, Engineering, Trades and Technology (SETT) fields will participate in the implementation and testing of models to provide industry and post-secondary institutions with tools to recruit and retain women in SETT fields where there are important skill shortages. CCWESTT will partner with four targeted industry and post-secondary institutions to develop four models for recruitment and retention of women in SETT. Based on the variation in the needs and structures of different work place situations, the models will help Canadian industry in developing inclusive work plans to proactively integrate skilled women where they experience skills shortages while ensuring they contribute in women working, staying and reaching their full professional potential.
