Purpose: | This 12 month pilot project is designed to enable and integrate low-income immigrant women in Nova Scotia society through entrepreneurship, self-employment and micro enterprise projects. Immigrant Women's Enterprise Initiative will train, match and promote the skills of these women as small business entrepreneurs by exploring local and regional business opportunities and providing information on key issues affecting immigrant women. They will fill a gap in job searching by providing empowerment programs, business forums and networking, direct business consultation and guidance to 120 low income immigrant women. This pilot project will create new solutions to immigrant womens economic challenges. |
