Purpose: | Standing Our Ground is an innovative 33-month pilot project in Halifax that involves mothers who have experienced abuse. The Young Womens Christian Association of Halifax will facilitate three 8-week workshops on issues and concerns for mothers who are being abused by their children. The project will provide information, resources and supports for women who have experienced parental abuse. A guide with specific recommendations to Nova Scotia key service providers will also be produced. The results will show an increase in the womens health and safety, and will give them the knowledge and skills to take actions that will end the abuse. |
