Purpose: This 18 month project, addresses the issues of 60 Afghan women, newly established in the Greater Toronto region, in view of improving their economic situation, by participating in the Sewing Circle. Through the Sewing Circle, they will participate to assorted workshops on issues such as, health and wellness, prevention of violence, the rights of women in Canada and other subject which will facilitate their integration and full participation in their communities.
