Purpose: “Safe Haven” will provide essential supports for immigrant women coming to Calgary as secondary migrants or temporary foreign workers. The project will be focusing on prevention and intervention services for women in the areas of family violence, housing, parenting support and pre-employment skills. This innovative pilot will seek to address the urgent needs of an emerging new group of clients seeking the services of Calgary Immigrant Women’s Association.
