Purpose: Through workshops, talking circles, and networking opportunities, this project will engage and empower immigrant and visible minority women in meaningful and educational activities that address economic, social and cultural barriers. Women will gain the knowledge, skills and confidence to actively engage in the Canadian labour market and contribute to their community. Through this format, the project will facilitate learning and mentorship in a safe and inclusive environment. The project will identify and value the strengths of each of the participants including their underutilized skills and talent. As a result of their participation, the women will increase their capacity in the areas of communication and self expression, social and cultural well being, and economic security.
