Purpose: This 18-month project will provide women and girls with the tools required to combat sexual violence. This project will bring together 50 women and girls in five workshops to be given in remote in three regional county municipalities (the Regional County Municipality of Caniapiscau, the Upper North Shore and the Lower North Shore) and two Aboriginal communities (Pessamit and Manu-Utenam). In addition, three regional training activities will help equip 90 women and 30 service providers to pursue the goal of combating sexual violence against women, and to make them aware of the available resources that could help them.
