Purpose: This 4-month project will directly impact 32 Aboriginal women in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver who have experienced abuse by providing culturally relevant programming and healing practices to build life skills that will provide a healthy foundation to make positive choices to live violence-free, address and reduce barriers while strengthening personal confidence and leadership skills necessary to successfully pursue further education and/or employment training.
