Purpose: This 24-month project will deliver Phase 2 of The Bottom Line: Gender Diversity at the Board Level. The project will work to increase the number of women on Canadian private sector and (ABCC) boards by increasing the knowledge and skills of 450 women to prepare them for successful recruitment for board service. The initiative will also educate a number of Canada’s corporate leaders in the private sector, as well as federal agencies, boards, commissions and crown corporations (ABCC) about the business case for diversity at the board level. The project will also provide mentoring of 5 to 15 women newly appointed to a board, to ensure that they succeed in their first year of board service.
Comments: Multi-year project of 24 months.
