Participants and participating organizations will sign an action plan committing them to apply their newly acquired engagement skills in their own organizations. Ultimately, 440 women will experience increased levels of civic participation as they join community engagement activities designed to provide input to City of Ottawa planning committees. A facilitator’s manual, in French and English, will be produced as well as online content that will be made available to other municipal organizations. Following the project, a Community Engagement Facilitators Network will be established to provide women with a mechanism to support each other.
