Purpose: This 18 month pilot project will develop a model to improve pathways to address violence against women services for Aboriginal Women living on First Nations reserves in Nova Scotia. Six focus groups are planned in three communities. Twelve educational sessions and workshops will be delivered to build skills to help 75 Aboriginal women experiencing family violence with prevention and intervention guidance to take on more proactive roles. Community networks and support groups will also be created.
