Purpose: This 30-month project, carried out in collaboration between the Lowertown Community Resource Centre (LCRC) and the City for All Women Initiative (CAWI), will strengthen the capacity of women leaders, cities, and community agencies to promote gender equality in their communities. The project will enhance and adapt the Gender Equality Lens Guide, promoting equality and inclusion for the full diversity of women in cities. CAWI and LCRC will also create and pilot tools and resources for community agencies, so that they are better equipped to support the municipalities/cities in their inclusion efforts. The project will take place in three urban centres and one rural municipality, namely Ottawa and Toronto, ON; Vancouver, BC; and Stratford, PEI.
