Purpose: This 24-month project will increase the ability of community partners in Lunenburg and Queens counties in Nova Scotia to respond to the needs of women and girl victims of sexual violence. The project will build collaboration between community service providers, police and health authorities to develop and pilot a coordinated, community-based response to improve access to support services. Partners will work together to assess and determine strengths and gaps in existing services, and will create a coordinated, multi-disciplinary, and client-centered protocol to respond to the needs of victims of sexual violence.
