Purpose: This 30-month project will develop and pilot a sustainable mentorship model to assist immigrant women professionals employed in the banking and financial sector in Ottawa to advance into leadership roles in the workplace. Project partners will participate in an assessment to identify the priorities, opportunities and barriers such as underutilization of skills, for immigrant women in the sector. A formal mentorship model to respond to the assessment findings will be developed and piloted within the financial services sector and local partners will be further engaged in supporting the model in the community.
