Purpose: This 30-month project will increase economic opportunities for women entrepreneurs in Sherbrooke. In collaboration with regional partners and business women’s groups, the project will examine needs and barriers facing women entrepreneurs, and identify best practices to address them. Specifically, the project will work to increase access to economic opportunities stemming from the recent announcement of a revitalization plan that will guide commercial development efforts in downtown Sherbrooke. An action plan will be developed and implemented to allow women entrepreneurs to contribute to the development of the revitalization plan and to derive maximum benefit from the resulting economic opportunities.
