Purpose: This 36-month project will work to increase the economic prosperity of Inuit women in the regions of Inuvialuit (NWT), Nunatsiavut (Labrador), Nunavik (Quebec), and Nunavut. The project will engage Inuit women, economic development agencies, regional chambers of commerce, and land claims organizations to develop and adapt a sustainable mentorship/sponsorship model to advance Inuit women’s participation in resource extraction industries. The model will be based on industry best practices and will be geographically, culturally, and linguistically relevant to women and industries working in the North.
