Through collaboration with young women, and stakeholders such as community-based organizations, the York Regional School Board, and local government service providers, the current response system to women victims of violence will be assessed using a culture and gender lens. Recommendations will then be implemented by partners to improve inter-agency referral protocols and procedures. The project and its evaluation will be disseminated to stakeholders and community members through knowledge exchange sessions and regional media outlets. Resources will be made available to other organizations interested in changing their practices once the project has been completed.
