Purpose: This is a supplement to the following 24-month project which brought together young women and girls, school boards, law enforcement, digital companies, and other local stakeholders to prevent and eliminate cyberviolence in Toronto, Ontario. Partners and youth leaders collaborated to develop a strategy to strengthen data collection, knowledge-sharing and coordination in responding to cyberviolence, especially as it relates to sexual violence against young women and girls. Projects were piloted by youth action groups that were broadening engagement and dialogue between youth and stakeholders. Supplement: Supplemental funding will support the development and implementation of a coordinated cyberviolence response protocol with local law enforcement and school boards to improve support for victims and survivors by strengthening inter-agency coordination. In addition, the organization will work to develop promising practice guidelines for those working to educate youth on cyberviolence to support streamlining education efforts.
