Purpose: This 36-month project will address barriers that contribute to the under representation of women in STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Working with students, educational institutions, employers and governments, the organization will collect and analyze grass-root perspectives in order to develop promising practices to overcome systemic barriers. Strategies will be developed and piloted, including on-line tools designed to support women and girls and foster interaction between students, STEM women professionals, parents and stakeholders. In addition, policy recommendations and labour standards aimed at addressing policy barriers with government and institutions will be implemented.
