Purpose: This 36 month project will seek to increase gender diversity and understanding of its benefits of diversity in STEM fields in the Vancouver area. It will address barriers to women’s inclusion and advancement, such as human resources and workplaces practices that are not responsive to women’s diverse needs. Through partnerships and engagement, the organization will work with key stakeholders and will examine the local and regional context, including diversity policies, HR practices and hiring processes in the STEM sector. Results will also be disseminated amongst broader stakeholders in order to strengthen coordinated responses to addressing barriers in the workplace.
