Response to parliamentary committees

On October 7, 2016, the Minister for the Status of Women presented the Government’s Response Endnote i to a report by the Standing Committee on the Status of Women, “ Implementing Gender-Based Analysis Plus in the Government of Canada Endnote ii ”. In its response, the Government indicated its agreement with the overall intent of the Report and recommendations, many of which aligned with the the GBA Action Plan (2016-20) by Status of Women Canada, the Treasury Board Secretariat, and the Privy Council Office. The Government committed to making further progress on six broad themes: Definitions and Accountability, Training, Enhanced Engagement, Supporting GBA Networks, Accountability and Reporting, and Mandatory GBA Requirements.
