Greening Government Operations

Approach:SWC will continue to use Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) procurement instruments and the delivery of training to key personnel.

Management Processes and Controls:SWC will continue to use PWGSC procurement instruments when purchasing mandatory commodities and use standing offers/supply arrangements as its primary mechanism when available.

Training:SWC will require staff responsible for procurement and materiel management to take the Canada School of Public Service (CSPS) C215. As well, new staff with procurement and materiel management responsibilities will be required to take the CSPS course C215 within six months of employment.
