Purpose: The Workers Action Centre (WAC) will work closely with women and communities to increase public understanding on the need to improve working conditions for women seeking to attain economic equality. Through leadership development, public education, and partnership building activities, women workers will plan, implement, and evaluate the public education and partnership building in seven communities, namely Kitchener-Waterloo, Sudbury, Hamilton, Windsor, Ottawa, Brampton, and Mississauga. As well, WAC will consult with various institutions to underscore employment issues faced by workers in insecure work arrangements.
