Disclosure of Grant and Contribution Awards

Recipient Name: WORKING SKILLS CENTRE OF ONTARIO
Location: Toronto, Ontario
Date: 2006-09-22
Value: $50,000.00
Type: Grant
Purpose: The Working Skills Centre (WSC) will work closely with employers, women, financial institutions, settlement services, and the employment and training groups to develop models in assisting women to access finance for training, to obtain comprehensive skills training, and to increase job placements so that women can participate more fully in the Canadian economy, thus contributing to their economic well-being. As well, WSC will work with selected financial institutions, post-secondary institutions, and settlement services to increase their capacity to respond to the training needs of women. Better access to training for women will reduce barriers to their participation in the Canadian economy.
