Purpose: One hundred Aboriginal women from Lennox Island, Abegweit and urban centres will participate in a talking circle, 16 workshops, small open information sessions, and a one-day provincial session. The project will give the women knowledge and skills about the causes of violence, through a proven approach: a concentrated effort of three communities to examine the roots of violence and develop strategies to educate people about their responsibility for owning and advancing solutions to eliminate family violence.
