Purpose: Building on the success of a previous grant, this project aims to: organize culturally appropriate workshops on healthy family relationships; establish coping skills group sessions for victims of domestic violence; support a peer support network for survivors of domestic violence; and, revise and update the York Domestic Violence Prevention Resource Guide. Survivors of domestic violence will be involved in the planning and implementation of the project. As the key presenters at this workshop, these women will have a vital role to play in assisting those who are living in abusive relationships. The project will engage women from diverse cultural backgrounds in Central West Toronto. Translated materials will be available to family members and caregivers.
