Purpose: This project aims to reinforce positive social networks, enhancing existing skills, developing new ones, and establishing constructive lifestyles for marginalized women living in the Downtown Eastside. This will be done through information sessions (anger management, hygiene, parenting) coupled with outreach support, and training sessions for skills (with computers, public speaking, writing). Activities will also be conducted to enable the women to share their stories which will be part of a tool kit developed for organizations to make their services more accessible by homeless women.
Comments: Multi-year project of 3 years (2008-2010).
