Purpose: The aim of this 24-month project is to break down systemic barriers faced by women who are victims of family violence or other forms of abuse, so that they can achieve or regain financial independence. This project will make it possible for them to improve their economic situation, acquire new skills and develop community leadership abilities. A series of workshops for 200 attendees will address four main themes, namely, understanding the language of economics and finance, personal growth, leadership and one-on-one mentorship. The workshops are intended especially for women who have experienced violence, or who are currently experiencing violence, so that they may rebuild their economic security.
