Purpose: This 36-month project will help sixty (60) immigrant and visible minority women acquire the tools they need to start their own businesses in the Greater Toronto area and the suburbs of Mississauga, Brampton, Thornhill, Richmond Hill and Pickering. Individual information and mentoring workshops will provide them with all the knowledge that is essential for ensuring the success of their businesses. The workshops specially designed for these francophone women will cover the strategic steps to follow, such as the market study, business plan preparation, the legislation governing business creation, and the key aspects for ensuring the longevity of a business.
