Purpose: This 27-month project aims to increase the number of candidates in the 2013 municipal elections, and promote the retention of women already in office. The organization will work to raise awareness among organizations, women and the general public to encourage women to become involved in democratic life. Recruiting activities specifically targeting young women will be arranged. A mentorship program will be set up to equip future elected women and to disseminate knowledge gained by those already in office. Training on gender-inclusive writing will be organized for the municipalities.
