To address human resource practices, the organization will work with human resource departments to identify current programs, succession plans, and training resources. A recognition program will also be implemented for companies that actively support the advancement of women.
This project is part of the Women in Technology Projects initiative. The Women in Technology Projects aim to provide women the opportunity to contribute to, and advance in, the Canadian Digital Economy, where they remain under-represented. The projects will: address human resources practices, structures and measures in small, medium-sized and large enterprises; and, ensure that women have the necessary skills to become active participants in Canadas current and emerging technology sectors.
These projects will work in partnership with the Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC). The ICTC will develop a common evaluation framework for all funded projects, produce a document outlining the overall results and best/promising practices; and disseminate key evaluation findings for the funded projects.
