Purpose: | This 36 month project will design and deliver culturally-appropriate tools and training on the legal issues resulting from family violence (e.g., criminal charges, housing rights, family status), to outreach service staff in Aboriginal shelters and transition houses across Canada, as well as provide post-training support. Through this project, Aboriginal women will become aware of the different services, procedures and laws that may impact their current family situation. The Legal Information and Training Toolkit will be accessible to all Aboriginal shelters and transition houses staff and their clients. |
