Purpose: This 36-month project will focus on increasing participation and advancement opportunities for Aboriginal women in the health sciences sector workforce in the Okanagan Nation territories. The organization will engage with Health Sciences institutions and other employers to develop human resource policies, procedures and practices in order to remove barriers to advancement and employment for Aboriginal women. A 'Roadmap to Prosperity for Aboriginal Women in Health Sciences' will be developed and made available as an information resource for Aboriginal women and employers in the health sciences sector in the Okanagan Valley and across Canada.
