Purpose: This 36 month project will work to promote the advancement of women within the automotive industry. In collaboration with key partners and women employed in the sector, the project will develop an action plan to develop recommendations for creating more inclusive and supportive employment environments for women. The action plan will be supported through the creation of an online portal to: support networking and knowledge sharing on employment practices and professional development activities; pilot human resource policies to support recruitment and retention of women in the sector; and develop tools to assist succession planning to ensure that women are represented at various levels of the industry. Project activities will be piloted and evaluated with industry association members to create sustainable opportunities to support the advancement of women in the sector.
