Purpose: This 36 month project will help create conditions that promote women’s active participation in political life. Gender-based analyses will be offered and equality committees will work to identify best practices for achieving gender parity. Stakeholders from RCMs in targeted regions will be invited to participate in consultations in order to develop action plans and tools for gender equality which will be made available for use. Knowledge and tools will be shared throughout Quebec to encourage the emergence of a political culture that values women’s active participation.
